Prediker 4:16

SV	Er is geen einde van al het volk, van allen, die voor hen geweest zijn; de nakomelingen zullen zich ook over hem niet verblijden; gewisselijk, dat is ook ijdelheid en kwelling des geestes.
WLC	אֵֽין־קֵ֣ץ לְכָל־הָעָ֗ם לְכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־הָיָה֙ לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם גַּ֥ם הָאַחֲרֹונִ֖ים לֹ֣א יִשְׂמְחוּ־בֹ֑ו כִּֽי־גַם־זֶ֥ה הֶ֖בֶל וְרַעְיֹ֥ון רֽוּחַ׃
Trans.	’ên-qēṣ ləḵāl-hā‘ām ləḵōl ’ăšer-hāyâ lifənêhem gam hā’^aḥărwōnîm lō’ yiśəməḥû-ḇwō kî-ḡam-zeh heḇel wər^a‘əywōn rûḥa:

AC	טז אין קץ לכל העם לכל אשר היה לפניהם--גם האחרונים לא ישמחו בו כי גם זה הבל ורעיון רוח [ (Ecclesiastes 4:17) יז שמר רגליך (רגלך) כאשר תלך אל בית האלהים וקרוב לשמע מתת הכסילים זבח כי אינם יודעים לעשות רע ]
ASV	There was no end of all the people, even of all them over whom he was: yet they that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a striving after wind.
BE	There was no end of all the people, of all those whose head he was, but they who come later will have no delight in him. This again is to no purpose and desire for wind.
Darby	[There is] no end of all the people, of all that stood before them; those however that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and a striving after the wind.
ELB05	kein Ende all des Volkes, aller derer, welchen er vorstand; dennoch werden die Nachkommen sich seiner nicht freuen. Denn auch das ist Eitelkeit und ein Haschen nach Wind.
LSG	Il n'y avait point de fin à tout ce peuple, à tous ceux à la tête desquels il était. Et toutefois, ceux qui viendront après ne se réjouiront pas à son sujet. Car c'est encore là une vanité et la poursuite du vent.
Sch	Des Volkes war kein Ende, vor welchem er herging; werden nicht auch die Nachkommen sich seiner freuen? Oder ist auch das eitel und ein Haschen nach Wind?
